Rebrand of The George hotel in Limerick, Ireland.

The concept focuses on connecting a modern, clean and simple identity with unique illustrations to make the George hotel different from its competitors. The design is inspired by architecture of the hotel and its location. It’s history and prominent place in the hearts and minds of the people of Limerick since 1824.

The illustration is based on a map of Limerick, highlighting the most popular places in the city such as King John’s Castle, the Hunt Museum, the Milk Market, the Greyhound Stadium, Saint John’s Cathedral, Saint Mary’s Cathedral and of course the George hotel. These abstract drawings resemble doodles, however, they are in fact very detailed and delicate. The fluidity of the lines playfully captures the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere of the city and suggests that there is always something new to discover.
